Green Blog: On Our Radar: A Reprieve for the Wolverine?

Federal officials propose listing the wolverine as threatened under the Endangered Species Act after repeatedly deferring its consideration. The animal?s western habitat has been eroded by declines in mountain snows related to climate change. [Fish and Wildlife Service]

The British authorities are investigating the possibility of foul play in the collapse of a wind turbine on a dairy farm in Devon, England, during a 50-mile-per-hour gale last weekend. The turbine was initially thought to have been brought down by the wind despite being designed to withstand gales of up to 116 m.p.h. But bolts were then found to be missing from its base.
