The E20-322 Technology Architect Solutions Design certification exam is a qualifying exam for many of the Technology Architect Specialist tracks. These tracks include EMC Storage and Information Infrastructure, EMC Commercial Storage and Information Infrastructure, CLARiiON Solutions, Symmetrix Solutions, Network Attached Storage, Storage Management, Storage Area Networks, and Content Addressed Storage.

Each exam contains 85 questions and you will have two hours to complete the test. In order to prepare for the test, you?ll need to take advantage of either the exam preparation services of TestsLive or the training provided by EMC. EMC offers 14 eLearning courses to help you prepare for the E20-322 test. These courses include, but are not limited to, Symmetrix Solutions Design Concepts v5, VNX for Block Solutions Design Concepts v5, and SAN Solutions Design Concepts v5 ? Part 1 and 2.

Using an exam preparation method is recommended for the E20-322 exam due to the sheer amount of technical knowledge required in order to pass the exam. Some of the technologies that you will be responsible for knowing include Unisphere v1.1, SourceOne v6.6, Symmetrix SRDF, TimeFinder 5875, PowerPath v5.5, Avamar v5.0, VPLEX v4.1, and Oracle v11gR2.

During the exam, you?ll have the choice of completing either an Enterprise or Commercial markets focus. The precise exam questions will depend upon which focus you choose. However, in general, you will be asked to gather information, analyze gathered data, and apply design best practices. To successfully pass the exam, you?ll need to be able to design storage solutions to meet customers? requirements.
