Brian Billick Rumor: Philadelphia Eagles Interview Former Baltimore Ravens Head Coach For Vacancy? Gus Bradley, Mike McCoy, Lovie Smith Also Candidates?

The Eagles reportedly met with former Baltimore Ravens and Super Bowl winning coach Brian Billick early last week, according to CSN Philadelphia.

Philadelphia has met with a plethora of former head coaches and top assistants since they fired Andy Reid a day after the end of the regular season.

Billick is now considered one of the top choices for a Philadelphia squad that went 4-12 and will have the No. 6 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

The 58-year-old worked his way up the college ranks before joining the Minnesota Vikings in 1992 as the tight ends coach, and eventually was their offensive coordinator for five seasons before Baltimore hired him in 1999.

Billick led the Ravens to their only Super Bowl victory in 2001 in just his second season. He was eventually let go in 2007 after Baltimore missed the playoffs in two of his final three seasons, but Billick finished with an overall record of 80-64, including two AFC North titles.

The Eagles have also met with Denver offensive coordinator Mike McCoy, and Seattle defensive coordinator Gus Bradley. Both could be brought if for a second interview after their teams were eliminated over the weekend.

Former Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith also met with Philadelphia, but he was also spotted boarding a plane to San Diego, and reportedly met with the Chargers.

Philadelphia was in the running for Oregon Ducks head coach Chip Kelly, but he ultimately decided to return to Eugene.
