If using a regular garage opener is too old school for you, RaspBerry Pi forum user DarkTherapy discovers something much more awesome: opening your garage door with Siri on your iPhone.
The hack involves a Raspberry Pi hooked up to the door and a program called SiriProxy, and it's actually pretty easy to use. In fact, you could probably do a lot more than open up the garage door using his code as a base, which makes this a pretty awesome project if you're a heavy Siri user. Check out the video above to see it in action, or hit the link for instructions on how to set it up.
